Quantum Break Guide – Time Skills and Abilities
Quantum Break Guide – Time Skills and Abilities
Quantum Break is an action-adventure and third person shooter video game developed by Remedy Entertainment. The game is releasing on 5th April. In the game you play the character of Jack Joyce and fight your way through disasters caused by time breaks. But surviving in this unstable world is not child’s play, you have to master your time powers to halt the end of time and save the world.
In Quantum Break Guide – Time Skills and Abilities we will explain what kind of powers Jack Joyce has that can influence his combat and storyline. Following are the time powers that Jack Joyce will use in order to survive this unstable world;
Time Vision or Time Sense:
This first ability will be unlock in Act I, part 2. You can only use this ability when you stand still. This power allows you to scan your surrounding area and tag different elements in three colors: Blue is used for ammo and weapons, Red for opponents & enemies and Yellow color is used for interactive objects and secrets.
Furthermore, you can use Time Vision or Time Sense to recreate events from past which are of course different element of storyline. You can use this ability to find Chronon Sources. When Time Sense ability is active and you are near the Chronon Sources, a small radar will appear in middle of your screen.
Time Stop:
Time Stop is an ability that you will acquire very early in the game. As the name suggest, you can use Time Stop to stop time only for a while. Time Stop creates a sphere that prevents anyone from moving withing its range. Time Stop can be used to immobilize enemies or you can use it to stop objects that are in your way.
Immobilizing enemies, particularly those with armor, will grant you enough time to shoot. Bullet will hit the target opponents as soon as your Time Stop ability ends. But you should remember this important thing that this ability is practically useless against the white agents.
Time Dodge:
You will unlock this skill in part 3 of Act I. Time Dodge ability will let you dodge enemy attacks with incredible speed. Use Time Dodge to take cover, pass obstacles or avoid grenades. If your opponent is not wearing armor, hitting him in rush will knock him down, and make him an easy target.
Time Focus:
Time Focus and Time Dodge will be unlocked at the same time in part 3 of Act I. However, Time Focus can be combined with the Time Run skill. The rule is pretty simple here:When you finish your dodge/run press aim; time will stop for a couple of seconds and you will be able to eliminate your enemies with less effort.
Time Shield:
Jack Joyce will acquire Time Shield at the end of part 3 of Act I. Upgrade this skill as quickly as possible because it can save your life in worst situations. Activate Time Shield to create bubble, this bubble will protect you from bullets. But to use this ability you have to stand still; the bubble will disappear if you move away from the safe zone.
You can use Time Shield to do many things such as regenerating health, attacking your enemies from a safe position and reloading weapons. durability of this skill is pretty limited, so do not use this in the middle of a combat. If you activate Time Shield and your enemy ends up in the shield, it will slow him down and also throw him off. Time Shield is very helpful in immobilizing dangerous elements of surrounding area.
Time Blast:
Jack Joyce will not be able to use Time Blast until part 1 of Act II. You can use it to charge and fire energy at group of enemies or just at a single enemy/target. Your projectile can slow down enemies but in comparison with Time Stop, Time Blast can deal a great damage. Time Blast will be your main attack as this is the only skill/ability that can cause damage. You can fire Time Blast from behind the covers. If you are playing on a low difficulty level, a single projectile will be enough to take down armored enemies.
Time Run:
Time Run is the last skill and you will acquire this in part 1 of Act III. When everything in your surrounding slows down, holding down a button bound to activate Time Run will allow Jack Joyce to run. Remember one thing that you can only run for limited time. Time Run can be used to avoid enemies, reach cover, or to move faster during exploration. Time Focus can be used at the end of Time Run to avoid traps and to knock down enemies without armor.
