Every character and all game modes in Battleborn carry Command Rank, every story episode and Competitive match except bots will grant you XP (Experience Points) that’ll add up towards your Command Rank. As you level up and your Command Rank increases, you will unlock new items such as gears, weapons and new Heroes.
Follow these tips to level up fast in Battleborn, all the way to Level 100:
Complete Story Mode: Grinding and completing Story Mode on hardcore or advanced difficulty will help you level up faster than playing Verses Game Mode. Playing the Story Mode will also level up Command Rank of your cahracter and this way you can unlock new abilities for your character. You will also unlock all Heroes once you hit Command Rank 40.
Incursion Multiplayer Mode: Select Kleese as you hero and start playing Incursion Multiplayer Mode, Kleese can set up Energy Rifts to automatically kill bots. Kleese’ Energy Rifts ability restores the friendly shield and it deals great damage to enemies. Whenever A 5 Minions’ wave arrives, it will be taken out by this Energy Rift and award you 20-60 XP making this mode great source for farming XP.
Versus Private Mode: You can battle bots in this Verses Private game mode which is similar as above Incursion mode but this may take longer to farm good XP points.
Paid XP Boosts: We heard a rumor that in future, Gearbox may offer the option to pay for some XP Boosters. These XP Boosters will allow you to earn more experience points such as 2x or 3x for short period of time (3-4 hours).
