Battlefield 1 is an action packed first person shooter video game from EA DICE. It is the 15th installment in Battlefield game series. The game just released today on 21st October, 2016 for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Following are some of the issues and problems that players have reported in different sites and forums for the Battlefield 1;
Battlefield 1 DirectX Error:
Some players have reported a DirectX error that cause the game to crash after the launch. if you are also facing the issue then follow the below instructions;
- In Origin client, Right click on Battlefield 1
- Go to Game Properties
- Disable Origin overlay
Battlefield 1 Frame Rate Drop Issue:
Plenty of people have reported this frame rate drop issue on their PCs. You can get rid of this issue by following the below workarounds;
- Update GPU driver.
- Lower graphics quality in the game’s settings.
- Close all the unwanted applications running in background.
- Launch the game, then open task manager and find game’s exe file in the process tab. Set the priority for game’s exe file to HIGH.
Battlefield 1 Crashing Issues:
This is definitely one of the most annoying issues out there for any game. If you are facing any crash issues such as crash on startup, crash with black/white screen, random crashes or crash during gameplay then try the below workarounds;
- Disable the Origin overlay as mentioned in the above point.
- Update your GPU drivers.
- Disable the DirectX 12 for this game.
Battlefield 1 Server Disconnection Error:
Various players are having this issue where connecting to game’s servers is pretty difficult for them. To solve this issue you may have to forward some ports on the router. Below are the required ports that you need to forward for specific platform: (Google port forwarding to know more about this)

Battlefield 1 Vehicle Key Binding Issues:
Some players have reported that they are unable to remap the key bindings for vehicle controls. This issue is caused by a bug that will get fixed soon. You best bet is to wait for an update patch.
