Chronon Sources are actually associated with your time skills and abilities. Chronon Sources are white glowing orbs that hang in the  air. In order to collect these sources, you have to hold down the associated button. Chronon Sources are used to upgrade your time skills and abilities and to make these time powers more powerful.Alongside other various things, these orbs are marked on your timeline as secrets on every level. There are 60 Chronon Sources in the game. If you really want to fully upgrade your time skills in Quantum Break, collect all 60 Chronon Sources.

Upgrading your skills with Chronon Sources will allow you to use your time skills effectively and powerfully. For example, if you upgrade your Time Stop skill which stops time for a while, it will last for longer.

Hidden objects and other collectibles are scattered around different levels but you will not be able see these hidden things without special abilities. The easiest way to spot these Chronon Sources, collectibles and other hidden objects is that whenever these hidden things are nearby like 15 or 20 meters, Time Vision icon will flicker and flash yellow and if you are using a gamepad, it will start vibrating. Activate the Time Vision skill and Chronon Source will become visible. If you are not standing in front of hidden secrets, a small radar will show you the correct way.
