How to Kill Dettlaff in The Witcher 3 Blood and Wine:
Your final fight with Dettlaff boss consists of 3 different stages. He is vulnerable to Vampire oil, Quen and Black blood potions, so be careful. In the first stage of your fight, Dettlaff will be in his two-leg form, he’ll move fast and transform himself into fog time to time. Remember one thing that he can also turn into an invisible form and can also regenerate his health during the fight. Whenever you fight against a vampire in Blood and Wine, use Yrden to slow down Dettlaff, in this way he will be more vulnerable to your attacks. Always try to doge his attacks and also use vampire oil.

In the 2nd stage of the fight, Dettlaff will transform himself into a winged form. He will also use very powerful attacks in this form to stun his enemies (Geralt). Whenever he fly, he will be using different attacks so watch out. He will use swarm of bats as an attack when he’s flying and Quen Sign will not protect you fully from this attack. It is very difficult to avoid this attack but one thing that you can do is to roll towards him for less damage.

When he dives to the ground, he’ll stay there for couple of seconds giving you a chance to attack him. While he dives on to the ground, be careful and doge continuously, because he will emerge and will perform an AoE attack.
In the last and 3rd stage of your fight with Dettlaff, just concentrate on destroying 3 pulsating sacs. Attack one sack and then run towards the next one keep doing this until you destroy all three of them. This way he will chase you around and you can easily keep up this strategy. After destroying every sack perform your last swipe to kill Dettlaff for good.
