Bioshock The Collection Review
Today FunkyVideoGames presents Bioshock The Collection Review. In review posts we usually discuss newly released video game and provide you some straight up insights of a game. In Bioshock The Collection Review, we will talk to you about graphics, story, improvements and gameplay experience of Bioshock The Collection.
Well, we usually do not discuss remastered version of games in our review posts but I think we are going to do this time because honestly, Bioshock video games are worth it. Bioshock The Collection surprisingly provide you a great amount of content. You will get all three games Bioshock, Bioshock 2 and Bioshock Infinite. The Bioshock The Collection has released for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on 16th September, 2016.
Bioshock The Collection was on our radar for the Top 10 Best Games September, 2016. So if you want to know which other games are on that list just follow the above mentioned link. One thing worth mentioning is that it’d be pretty easy to upgrade these games to their remastered versions on PC if you own these games on the Steam.
Bioshock The Collection Review:
We will not be discussing the complete three games here, but in a way, we will provide you all the insights for these Bioshock games that you should know before buying the game.
First we will talk about Bioshock, and Bioshock 2 remastered version. In these two games you will get a 1080p 60 FPS experience. I think the both games run and look acceptably, they still are not amazing but these games definitely look better. And these games have their moments, especially the 1st Bioshock game. Bioshock Remastered honestly seems like it has better water effects, lighting and other stuff like that.
Bioshock The Collection Review – Bioshock Remastered:
These are just improved experiences and they are how you should play the game. The original Bioshock is definitely a timeless classic. If you haven’t played this game before, I think it’s the perfect time to try this game. I really recommend this game, the story, mystery and creepiness of this game definitely hold up and you will not be disappointed. I think the gameplay suffers a little bit because of the evolution in (FPS) First Person Shooter games in recent years, since the original Bioshock game.
The Bioshock Remaster is playable, I mean its dated but it doesn’t mean it’s rough, if that makes sense to you guys. Another awesome thing about the Bioshock Remaster is that it comes with the commentary of its creator, Ken Levine. The commentary is pretty insightful and interesting but what I loved even more is that it comes with a kind of virtual museum where you can walk around in first person and explore all the unused concepts form the original Bioshock game. Basically you’ll look at all the stuff that landed on the cutting floor and never made it into the game.
In this museum you will find tons of great things such as unused character models. All this weird and cool stuff will provide you a sense of the thought process behind making the Original BioShock game.
Bioshock The Collection Review – Bioshock 2 Remastered:
Bioshock 2 is a really weird game because people’s opinions on this game is like a flip flop after all these years. I’m somewhat in the middle here but this game holds up a little bit better thanks to the improved combat system and combat variety than the 1st game.
It may not be as iconic as the original Bioshock but I think it is definitely still a game worth playing through. Some people really don’t like this but I think you should definitely give it a shot. And for this game you will also get the DLCs of this game, most notably Minerva’s Den.
The first two Bioshock games are pretty damn amazing in a way which is hard to describe because video games don’t usually invoke this type of coolness. From political ideologies to socio economics to actual video game concepts and how a society under water would work. The actual atmosphere of these both game is pretty unique and amazing.
Thankfully, the reason a lot of people are buying these games, the 1080p 60 frames per second thing really holds up through the entire game and I haven’t ran into some big issues such as bugs and stuff like that but I experience some stutters here and there.
As I said earlier, it’s a remastered version with improved graphics and it’s not a completely new experience. It’s just a better version of the game that feels nice to the eyes.
Bioshock The Collection Review – Bioshock Infinite:
Now like I said Bioshock Infinite is also included in Bioshock The Collection and I can totally recommend because this does look absolutely amazing. Especially if you play Bioshock Infinite on the consoles, basically what you are getting here is a high end PC version.
The game is really good. There are a lot of great effects, color, bloom lighting, reflection and all kinds of other things are just awesome. The game itself may lead some people divided but ultimately, it is still worth playing through if you never had the chance before because it is up to you to decide. And the world in Bioshock Infinite is definitely gorgeous and I know you don’t want to miss this.
I’ve played the game before but honestly I kind of forget the story besides the ending. And now playing it again really improved my thoughts about the Bioshock Infinite. This Bioshock Infinite Remastered version of the game also includes all the extra DLCs. Now if you have played the Bioshock Infinite back in the day and never got the chance to play the Burial at Sea DLC, now is the perfect time.
Bioshock The Collection Review:
Well that’s all you guys need to know before jumping into the Bioshock The Collection. It does support 1080p 60 frames per second and it looks goo. Bioshock The Collection contains all the extra DLC content. Well at the end it’s up to you guys that if you want to play through these games again for $60.
But if you have never experienced these games then you should definitely check these games out. It would be a great experience with all the extra DLC content right into this one collection. Remember one thing that if you own these games in your Steam Library they will automatically get updated to the new remastered versions and that’s really great.
Well I provided you guys with some bullet points and my personal opinion thrown in there. But I want to know what you guys think about this. Do you think Bioshock and Bioshock 2 are worth revisiting? And Do you think the Bioshock Infinite is worth visiting? Let’s know about all that down in the comments!
