American Truck Simulator Driver Guide
American Truck Simulator Driver Guide
American Truck Simulator is an indie truck driving and simulation video game that is basically made from Euro Truck Simulator 2 Model. In American Truck Simulator you will drive your truck to deliver various types of goods and products across sunny Nevada and California. The graphics and visuals are breathtaking and lifelike, you will experience amazing landmarks and beautiful landscapes.
The game brings an opportunity to your computer to be a driver and then make your path to be an operator/owner and afterwards to be a successful business man running the largest transpiration company in America. But to achieve this goal first you need to create a driver of that caliber who can really achieve these goals.
Remember one thing it is very easy for you to level up in the beginning, as you start from zero your first order will change this number and the map will then show tons of orders. But as the game progress you may have to drive way more to level up, as Experience points will be awarded according to kilometers. When you create/build a driver in American Truck Simulator, focus on specific skills. But if you want to be an all-rounded driver you should have balanced points in each skill slot.
In this American Truck Simulator Driver Guide, we will try to explain how can you level up your driver faster and with ease. “Long Distance” is a very important skill in the game, invest in this skill and it will open up various orders on the map. When you invest 1 point in this skill it will open up order in radius of 400 Miles but when you invest 2 Points (Recommended) it will unlock orders in 650 Miles from the very start. We recommend you to develop this skill to Max to have access to longest routes in America.
Skills such as “Delivery on Time“, “Valuable Cargo” and “Fragile Cargo” will unlock special shipment orders. You should at least invest 1 point in these skills to have access to these type of orders. The important thing is that do not just focus on one skill at the beginning of the game, skills like above has amazing bonuses in higher levels. And you can always focus on one particular skill after in the game.
“ADR” is a different category and it will not provide any bonus in higher levels but this skill will give you access to other orders that are not unlocked by the above three skills. Above mentioned skills and “ADR” can be advanced to higher levels at the same time but we recommend you to just focus on an two of them such as “ADR” and “Valuable Cargo“. As you progress in the game and achieve higher level such as 20+ you can complete your skill tree by filling missing attributes.
“Eco Driving“, this category is totally different and it will not cause you any stress unless you buy your own truck. Just focus on other skills and when you reach maximum on other levels then consider investing points on “Eco Driving”. Do not ever focus on cost cutting skills, just focus on those skills that will earn you more money.
