Assassin’s Creed Chronicles India Review
Assassin’s Creed Chronicles India Review
Assassin’s Creed Chronicles India is out now, at first it really makes a hell of an impression with their new place India. This time you will be recovering a precious artifact and very powerful piece of Eden the Koh-i-Noor Diamond. The placement is 1841 in Amritsar where a war is going between Sikh Empire and East India Company. With respect to Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China this sequel’s events take place after 300 years. Both parties the Templars and Assassins are in pursuit of this Koh-i-Noor.
The gameplay is similar to Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China where you are climbing, jumping, running and of course killing anyone who gets in your way. But all this hassle do not seems like any investment in the story and feels bogus as it seems you are jumping and running out of context. But it doesn’t mean that it looks awkward, you will definitely going to enjoy this game.
The game, Assassin’s Creed Chronicles India looks a mixture or Assassin’s Creed and Prince of Persia. Your environment is mostly in 2D space with some points leading to 2.5D with going in and out of some specific places and points. You can go for all out face to face battles or you can hide and wait for perfect moment to land a stealth attacks. The physics and kinetics of movements are pretty good and transitions from one sequence to another looks awesome. The environment is colorful and provide lots of places to stay invisible to your enemies. All the climbing, running and sliding looks pretty much as you saw in Mirror’s Edge.
You play the role of young Assassin named Arbaaz, who is cunning and clever. This time in Assassin’s Creed Chronicles India you have more missions than in you had in Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China. You will also feel that the gameplay has improved to a new level in comparison to Chronicles: China. Most of the time you are just climbing building and trying to see parents in enemy guards movements to land a stealth attack but sometimes you have to be quick and make the first move to clear the zone full of enemies with time constraint on your back. The enemies are different in Assassin’s Creed Chronicles India than in Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China, they are more lethal and intelligent and killing each one of them really feels great.
Attacks in Chronicles: India sometime feels slow as you will feel that Arbaaz’s unsheathing his sword took way more time than usual at some places and this feels more painful and you are surrounded with lots of enemies and you want to be quick but you can’t! Some time the stealth takedown icon will not appear, even if your just standing behind the guard and more than ready to put your hidden blade in his spine. But the good thing is that if you die the game reloads like faster than light. The weapons and other items are mainly same as in Chronicles: China for example, sword, hidden blade, smoke bombs, grappling hook, and noisemakers. There’s one new thing called Animus Helix, this power lets you instantly kill enemies or gives you invisible instantly.
But Assassin’s Creed Chronicles India really miss that final kill style gameplay where you have to kill one powerful enemy without paying any attention to NPCs. You could scratch the surface here in Chronicles: India but that’s not satisfying as you have felt in other Assassin’s Creed Games.
One thing I noticed and you will too is that Assassin’s Creed Chronicles India does not address problems that previous games fail to comprehend. You are in middle of an important point in history, a war is broke out in India and you are just collecting some artifact to justify your cause. But on the other hand you will definitely going to have a great fun and adventurous game ahead of you. I enjoyed every second of it with all its flaws and funny moments and I know, you will enjoy this game too!
