In Top 10 Video Games Coming in July we will provide you 10 great video games that are coming in July on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and IOS/Android. The list contain some cross over games from June because July is a light and weird month in relation to new game releases. So let’s get started with number 10…
10. Banner Saga 2
Banner Saga 2 is getting a console version release. Banner Saga 2 is really an awesome game. The game is releasing early in the month for Xbox and it’s actually going to be free on Xbox Live Games with Gold. It’s also getting a release date for PlayStation 4 this month.
The Banner Saga 2 is worth trying if you are a fan of strategy battle game or want to choose your own adventure. Banner Saga 2 has something for everybody and if you think Banner Saga 2 is not your type of game, you should give it a shot you might be surprised.
9. Kill Strain
Kill Strain is a top down twin stick action shooter video game. It sounds pretty basic and predictable but it’s bit different Because it is 5 vs 5 vs 2. Kill Strain is extremely competitive, but it’s 2 teams of 5 fighting to contain and control this energy source called STRAIN.
So all these are human character in 5 vs 5 but then 2 additional players get to play as mutants. If you are playing as mutant, you will get a bunch of different abilities and you can make havoc and make the other team lives a living hell. There is replay-ability and bunch of character progression stuff and if you are worried about 5 v 5 v 2 being a complicated composition, there are other team sizing and team scaling effects in place. I think it’s worth mentioning that this game is free to play.
8. Song of the Deep
Song of the Deep is aquatic under water game being devloped by Insomniac Games. You control a little submarine pilot by a young girl on a search to find her father. This is an action-adventure game with a non-linear story. There are upgrades that you can add to your submarine to progress to new areas and to defeat different type of enemies.
Song of the Deep seems pretty cool and unique game that slip under the radar even for Insomniac Games’ fans with all the other things that they have coming out.
7. Moon Hunters
In the month of July Moon Hunters is releasing on PlayStation 4. Moon Hunters is a multiplayer game described as one to four player cooperative personality test. It’s a top down isometric RPG style game with a short little story based mode which you are encouraged to play over and over again.
It uses different classes & abilities that are procedurally generated. So I guess in some way you can describe this as a roguelike style game. There’s a cool music, visuals and decent gameplay here but for some people it might get little repetitive.
6. Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered
Fahrenheit Indigo Prophecy got an HD release for PC and mobile a while ago. But now we are getting Remastered version for PlayStation 4. Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy is where Quantic Dream the makers of Heavy Rain really found their footing. So if you are a fan of Heavy Rain and you want to see their first success in telling a weird video game story in a cinematic style. Check out Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered, it’s really cool and its only $15.
5. Resident Evil 5 HD
Since we are talking about HD re releases, at number 5 we have Resident Evil 5 HD in our Top 10 Video Games Coming in July list. This game is being released for PC and Consoles. Resident Evil 5 did get flagged but its co-op mode was pretty decent and it was a fun game.
As Resident Evil 5 is an action packed game but it really feels like a Resident Evil game. Resident Evil 5 HD was released digitally on June 28. But its physically version is releasing on 12th July. That’s why it’s on our Top 10 Video Games Coming in July list.
4. Hawken
Hawken is getting release on PlayStation 4 on July 8th, 2016. What started as an early access game on PC is now picked up by 505 Games and it is being published as free to play game. Hawken is a team based multiplayer mech game and its pretty damn good one.
Hawken go some great intense and pretty action packed gameplay. There is a little world building and story behind it all as well. Whether you pay attention to the story or not, it’s a mechs fighting each other and it’s kinda awesome.
3. Monster Hunter Generations
Monster Hunter Generations is finally getting a 3DS release in North America this month. For those who do not, this is the non Japaneses version of Monster Hunter X. Aside from looking a little better, there are new additions including new special attacks, new combat style, new special moves known as Hunting Arts. This special moves ‘Hunting Arts ‘ seems like it’ll change the gameplay dynamic a bit.

2. I Am Setsuna
I Am Setsuna is basically an original PlayStation JRPG fans dream come true. It is developed by Tokyo RPG Factory published by Squar Enix. There’s lot of words around that it’s been inspired by Final Fantasies. I Am Setsuna will definitely going to appeal these Final Fantasy people.
I Am Setsuna looks gorgeous, the combat looks interesting and the characters are unique. I Am Setsuna is releasing for PC PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita and I’m really looking forward to it.
1. Pokemon Go
Pokemon Go has a ton of hype for what it is, because honestly the concept sounds amazing. An augmented reality, smartphone based game where you get to go out in the real world and catch and collect Pokemon and trade them with your friends.
This month we finally get to see what the hype is all about. The game has had Betas with some people but we still do not know about how exactly it works.
