XCOM 2 Sharpshooter Class Guide
XCOM 2 Sharpshooter Class consists of long distance shooter soldiers with sniper rifles as primary weapon and pistol as secondary weapon. As this class carries abilities of sniping they are pretty much useless in close combat situations and you need one soldier near them to protect them with these kind of close combat threats. If you pick the most effective abilities for XCOM 2 Sharpshooter Class you can easily turn these soldiers into rampage machines than can kill any opponent from anywhere on the map regardless of the distance.
In the start this class has Squadsight ability same as in XCOM: Enemy Unknown which allows players to take any target on the map which is in sight of other squad member provided that the target is in line of sight of the Sharpshooter soldier and the line of sight is not blocked by any wall or obstacle. The Easiest way to use this ability is to place your sharpshooter on higher ground where the line of sight is not hampered by any obstacle.
XCOM 2 Sharpshooter Class has a vast range of diverse abilities such as Long Watch, Return Fire, Deadeye, Lightning Hands, Faceoff, Steady Hands, Death From Above, etc. But not all the abilities are effective and powerful, below you will find some of the most effective abilities you will get in XCOM 2 Sharpshooter Class;
Long Watch: Allow your sharpshopter to perform an overwatch shot if the opponent is in sight range of your squad member, this ability works great when your sharpshooter is well behind your squad and the normal overwatch is not available.
DeadEye: This ability will increase the damage that sniper can land on opponent but at thee same time it reduces the chance of hit too. You won’t be able to do much with this ability in the start of the game but when you have progressed in the story and the your sharpshooter has developed the aim, Deadeye will become the most powerful weapon in your arsenal, that can kill almost any opponent.
Death From Above: As the name suggest, you need to be on the higher ground than your opponent. This ability works best as this will not end your turn and you can easily relocate your solider after you take down your opponent.
Kill Zone: You can say that Kill Zone is an upgraded Overwatch, this allow your sharpshooter to attack 3 different enemies without any penalty of Overwatch. This can take down all 3 enemies but the draw back of this ability is that is consumes too much ammunition.
Steady Hands: This ability works best when you do not tend to move your sharpshooter too much. How this ability works is that if you do not move in your last turn you will get +10 to your aim and critical chance.
Serial: With the Favorable situation you can take 4 to 5 enemies with this ability in just one round. But you should equip your sharpshooter with the upgraded magazine size before using this ability.
